Stanway Villa FC - Under 8's Yellows - Season 2008/2009

Terry, Steve, Myself and all the lads would like to thank Terry and Heidi Runicles for the invitation to Harry’s Birthday Party and Stadium Tour at Portman Road, a great time was had by all, pictures will be posted shortly. 25th June 2008 After many of us have worked hard to sell raffle tickets to raise funds for the team, and after many requests we finally had the big draw! The 1st prize of an Xbox 360 donated by BEW was won by Neil Ovel (Laser Electrical) The 2nd prize of a bottle of Champagne donated by myself was won by the Craig family The 3rd prize of a new Nike T90 football was won by Bob Vine (Laser Electrical) The 4th prize of a First Strokes swimming voucher donated by the Runicles family was won by D. Palmer We managed to raise a grand total of £ 250.00 so many thanks to everybody for all your efforts and support. 10th June 2008 We now know our opponents within the league for next season it will be Clare, Clacton Utd, FC Clacton, Gt Bradfords, Lawford, Lexden Saints, Little Oakley, Oyster Youth, & Cressing it will be interesting as we have only played one of these teams previously at u7's so there will be plenty of new challenges, but I'm sure our old adversaries such as Rovers, Cornard and Tempest will be looking more eagerly to friendlies during pre season and the mid season break so we wont be missing out on anything!
