Stanway Villa Celebrates Another Memorable Presentation Day
Stanway Villa brought the 2025–26 season to a close with another hugely enjoyable annual Presentation Day. Players, managers, coaches, parents, families and friends came together to celebrate the season and recognise the commitment and achievements of teams throughout the club.
The good weather helped create a fantastic atmosphere, with many families arriving early and choosing to stay for the whole day. It was a relaxed and sociable occasion, giving everyone the opportunity to catch up, enjoy the presentations and spend time together away from the usual pressures of matchdays.
Players received awards and recognition for their commitment, improvement and contribution during the season. The presentations celebrated not only performances on the pitch, but also the teamwork, friendships and enjoyment that remain at the heart of Stanway Villa.
Football continued throughout the day, with players from different teams and age groups mixing together on the pitches. Teams mingled, organised their own games and enjoyed playing against one another, creating exactly the kind of friendly club atmosphere that Presentation Day is all about.
The occasion was particularly significant for the U18 Reds, some of whom had been with Stanway Villa since U7. After more than a decade together, their final season brought a memorable journey through the club’s youth section to a close, making the day an opportunity to recognise the players, their families and everyone who had supported the team along the way.
The U18s signed off in style by winning the Open Cup and finishing second in the Colchester and District Youth League A Division. Led by manager Paul Bleck and assistant Brett Calver, it was a fitting final chapter for a group that has represented Stanway Villa with commitment, character and pride. Everyone at the club wishes the players and coaches every success for the future.
